Anne Blum

"Dopo aver lavorato come restauratrice dal 1975 al 1991 presso il Museo di Berna, ho lasciato quest'attività quando è nata mia figlia. E' stata lei che mi ha fatto scoprire la mia creatività. Nel 1997 incontro Daniel Odier che attraverso il suo insegnamento mi incoraggia a non perdere il filo dorato del mio dono artistico. Oggi, quanto più pratico, tanto più nascono dal profondo visioni, quadri, poemi e ciò mi permette di rimanere creativa in ogni cosa che faccio. Le varie tecniche che uso riflettono modi diversi di esprimere il mio mondo interiore."

Anne Blum esplora differenti tecniche per manifestare le forme di un universo vibrante che soggiace ad ogni cosa esistente: acquerello, acrilico, disegno, video. La molteplicità deriva dal suo contatto con la pratica, che la porta a scegliere di volta in volta il mezzo più naturale per esprimere il suo desiderio di creare. Il suo processo creativo si ancora all'ascolto di ciò che le accade dentro: a volte è il vuoto, a volte disperazione o un'assenza totale di ispirazione; poi, senza sapere come o perché, l'impulso creativo ritorna. Questo processo si trasforma in un insegnamento e l'artista apprende a non arrendersi davanti alle difficoltà o nei momenti negativi. "Aspetto, ferma, in silenzio, fino a che lo slancio creativo fa ritorno... la mia pratica con Daniel ha rafforzato l'intuizione che non c'è nulla da combattere, bisogna solo aspettare", afferma Anne Blum in una intervista per "Lo Spazio Dentro".  Le sue opere sembrano stabilirsi dalle fondamentadella pratica.  Il suo sguardo tocca la realtà spoglia, penetrando le forme per toccare e trasmettere il vuoto che permea ogni cosa. Il video Spanda, girato nel santuario delle farfalle in Michoacàn, Messico, offre allo spettatore l'esperienza della vibrazione nella sua forma naturale, grazie al volo di milioni di farfalle con il loro ronzio ricreativo nel momento della riproduzione. Come nei suoi quadri raffiguranti l'universo, questa ripresa testimonia un approccio diretto alla realtà, dove lo spettatore è lasciato con l'esperienza della vibrazione e dello spazio.

"Having worked as an art restorer from 1975 to 1991, I left the Bern Museum of Art when my dau- ghter came into the world. She brought me my own creativity. In 1997 I met Daniel Odier, who, through his teaching, encouraged me not to lose that golden thread of creativity. To this day, the more I practice, the more visions, poems, and paintings take form in my spirit. This is what allows me to remain creative no matter what I do. The artistic techniques I use are closely related to the media I choose to express my inner world."

Anne Blum has explored diverse media to manifest, in multiple ways, the forms of a vibrant universe em- bracing all that exists. Watercolor, acrylic, drawing and video are techniques widely used by her. From her contact with the practice of each medium, the choice naturally flowed from the inner desire to cre- ate. Blum's creative process was grounded by liste- ning to what was happening in her. Sometimes it was emptiness, sometimes despair, or a total loss of cre- ative impulse, until, suddenly, it came back, without knowing when or why. This process became a core teaching for the artist, who learned to never give up on something that appears to be going in the wrong direction, or heading nowhere at all. "Just wait, still, in silence, until it will come again... My practice with Daniel really increased the sensation that I never have to fight, but only to wait", Anne Blum said in an interview for Lo Spazio Dentro. Anne Blum's works Blum's works are established on the foundation of her practice. Her vision touches reality in such a bare way, penetrating the forms to reach and transmit the emptiness permeating all. The video Spanda, filmed in the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary in Michoacán, Mexico, brings to the spectator the experience of vibration in its natural form of life, through the flutter of millions of butterflies in a raw moment of repro- duction and preservation of the species. Like her paintings of the universe, it has a direct approach to reality, where the viewer is left to the experience of vibration and space.
